Welcome New MVWSD Families!
Welcome to the Mountain View Whisman School District (MVWSD), where all of our eleven schools are striving for a well-rounded, innovative education and inclusive community.
About MVEF
MVEF is a non-profit led by parent volunteers like you that raises funds from the community for programs essential to a well-rounded education for all MVWSD students.
What does MVEF fund for my child?
With your support, MVEF is able to fund art lessons and music instruction, hands-on science programs, middle school athletics, clubs & activities and reduced middle school English Language Arts (ELA) class sizes.
We fund:
-
Art teachers for all students grades TK-5
-
Music teachers for all students grades TK-5
-
Recorders in grade 4
-
Instrument purchases and repairs for grades 6-8
-
Hands-on science enrichment in grades TK-6
-
Additional English Language Arts teachers in grades 6-8 reducing average class sizes by 25%, providing students with more personalized attention and elective options
-
After-school sports, clubs & activities (Coaches, referees, teachers, transportation) incl. assistance with Performing Arts plays in grades 6-8.
It's a Partnership - Community Engagement in Public Schools!
A key to our district's and community’s success is the partnership between MVWSD, the Mountain View Educational Foundation (MVEF) and each school’s PTA/PACT (PACT at Stevenson) and YOU to raise funds for additional resources and build a strong ecosystem.
