Google.org Awards $100,000 Grant to Support MVEF’s Educational Programs
Google.org Awards $100,000 Grant to MVEF for Science Enrichment Programs in 2024
Google.org, Google’s philanthropic arm, has awarded a $100k grant to MVEF to support science enrichment programs for TK-8 students in MVWSD.
MVEF, the primary non-public funding source for MVWSD's eleven TK-8 schools, plays a crucial role in ensuring students receive high-quality educational experiences. Sraddha Shukla, Board Chair of MVEF, expressed gratitude on behalf of the organization, stating, " We are grateful for this generous grant from Google.org, which will greatly enhance student learning in the Mountain View Whisman School District. With this grant, along with the ongoing support from our MVEF donors, we can ensure that every student in our diverse district has access to innovative educational programs."
With $600k, MVEF reaches the third milestone of its annual fundraising goal

“We are thrilled to announce that MVEF has reached its third milestone of $600k towards its annual goal of $1.2M for the school year 2024-25.

MVEF hires Valerie Duncker as Lead Executive Director in April 2024
“We are thrilled to welcome Valerie to MVEF,” said Dwight Rodgers, MVEF Board President. “Her experience in leadership, fundraising, and nonprofit engagement, coupled with her demonstrated commitment to education, make her a great fit for advancing MVEF’s mission. Her engagement in multiple schools and the community plus her collaborative spirit and her experience serving nonprofits in marketing, communication, fundraising and leadership roles, will be a great asset to our schools and community.”
MVEF Spring Gala 2024
MVEF Spring Gala 2024 was a huge success!
The annual MVEF gala 2024 raised over $155k towards the annual goal. MVEF wants to thank everyone who contributed to the Gala to make it such a success. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful community who believes in our mission. Your donation will create a lasting impact in our community affecting every single Tk-8 grade student in the Mountain View Whisman School District benefiting from programs such as art, music, athletics, smaller ELA class sizes, and more. We truly appreciate your continued support.​​
